Brendan is a Paediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist and Microbiologist, working at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, and a Senior Research Associate in the Faculty of Medicine and Health, Discipline of Paediatrics, at UNSW.
His research program includes projects on antimicrobial resistance and better use of antibiotics in children, infections in immunocompromised children and young people, as well as congenital infections. He is using surveillance data in new ways to better understand and optimize antibiotic therapy.
