I hold the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist Lead for Infection Prevention and Control within the South West region of Western Australia’s Country Health Service. The South West IPC service oversees 12 healthcare facilities, encompassing both acute and aged care settings. With a background of over 11 years in rural health, I have developed a deep dedication to elevating workforce capabilities and spearheading quality improvements to uphold the utmost standards of patient care and safety. My goal is to persistently champion workforce development and quality enhancement in rural healthcare settings. I envision broadening my impact by actively participating in knowledge-sharing endeavors, collaborative research initiatives, and contribution to policy development, striving for lasting positive change in infection prevention and control.
