Catherine Li

Catherine Li is the Program Manager Clinical Best Practice for the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group (FSFHG). In this portfolio, she manages the FSFHG Hospital Acquired Complications (HACs) Reduction Program, the FSFHG Annual IMPROVE Conference Program, and the South Metropolitan Health Service (SMHS) Clinical Documentation Improvement Program (CDIP). Catherine is the founding member and has been the conveynor of the FSFHG Annual IMPROVE Conference since 2015.  

Catherine is a committed advocate and practitioner for knowledge translation, quality improvement, and evidence-based clinical care. She has over 23 years of experience in both public and private hospitals and is experienced in leading organisational changes for patient safety. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. Catherine promotes data-driven, evidence-based and outcome-oriented multidisciplinary collaborative teamwork for patient safety.  She has a Master of Health Economics and Policy, a Graduate Certificate in Economics, and a Graduate Diploma in Nursing Sciences. She is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Notre Dame, Australia. Her research interest is about closing the loop for quality improvement in healthcare.
