Senior Lecturer, Pharmacotherapeutics, Launceston Clinical School, Tasmanian School of Medicine, University of Tasmania

Sarah is an experienced hospital pharmacist and medical educator and has contributed to many service delivery changes and keystone multi-disciplinary projects. She was involved with the implementation of the Antimicrobial Stewardship program at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) and has been part of the Infectious Diseases team since 2011.

She is a strong believer in the value of interprofessional collaboration and patient centred care. Her work in medical education allows the opportunity to teach future prescribers an appreciation of a team-based approach to improve medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship. As the Infectious Diseases pharmacist, she adopts a broad approach and appreciates the value of engaging with consumers of the health service to improve health outcomes.

Sarah has recently stepped out of her Infectious Diseases role and is continuing to focus on medication safety and patient centred care in Pharmacy service management.
