Senior Policy Officer
Lisa is a Senior Policy Officer within the Infection Prevention and Policy Surveillance Unit (IPPSU), part of the Communicable Disease Control Directorate at the Department of Health in Western Australia (WA). She has over 20 years expertise as registered nurse and midwife, during this time held a position as an Infection Prevention and Management Clinical Nurse Consultant at King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women.
Lisa was Project Manager for the WA Health State Health Incident Control Centre (IPC cell) for the COVID-19 response. Lisa’s recent achievements include her secondment as the Program Manager in IPPSU, which she played a key role in shaping policies, monitoring and responding to communicable diseases such as Mpox and Viral Haemorrhagic Fever.
