Wendy Bacalja is the Infection Control Consultant Statewide for Dental Health Services Victoria. She has tertiary qualifications in Paediatrics, Emergency Nursing, Infection Control along with a Masters in Public Health (International) and WHO GOARN Training. After 22 years working in Emergency Departments in both Melbourne Metro and Regional Hospitals, she transitioned to the world of Infection Prevention and Control in 2004. In 2009 she moved back to Melbourne to commence her role as Infection Prevention and Control consultant at DHSV opening up another world of learning and understanding dental, a career change she has embraced and thoroughly enjoyed.
Wendy also enjoys keeping fit and is a competitive cross-fit competitor. Wendy enjoys spending time with friends and family involving her children and grandchildren.
