Fenella is a PhD candidate and mathematical modeller at the Burnet Institute. She has extensive experience in mathematical modelling, specifically working alongside the Victorian Department of Health to model COVID-19 in Victoria. Her work aided in Victoria’s COVID-19 response, in particular informing strategies in hospitals and residential aged care facilities. Her PhD is concerned with using data from the COVID-19 experience coupled with mathematical modelling to inform pandemic preparedness strategies.
