Karen Turnbull

Karen is a Clinical Nurse Consultant for Public Health Services, as part of the Tasmanian Infection Prevention & Control Unit (TIPCU). She holds postgraduate qualifications in evidence-based practice, IPC, a Diploma of music performance, and completed her Master of Leadership in 2021.  

During the past decade, Karen has led IPC teams and programs for both public and private acute hospitals, with a particular fondness for HAI surveillance.  She is a mentor with ACIPC and the University of Tasmania Professional Practice Pathway for Transformational Leadership.  

Karen is at her most excellent when she is creating space for others to grow.
