Abstract:

In a post-pandemic world, the role of emotional intelligence in leadership has evolved from a soft skill to an essential competency. Healthcare leaders are tasked with more than just the medical aspects of the job—they must also manage their teams’ emotional wellbeing to ensure resilience and high performance. This presentation will draw on findings from the “Beyond Recovery” report, showcasing how emotional intelligence and people analytics have emerged as critical tools for building wellbeing and team performance. The session will provide concrete examples of how leaders can assess and improve emotional states within their teams, fostering environments that are adaptable, empathetic, and highly collaborative. Attendees will gain insights into how emotionally intelligent leadership can mitigate burnout and enhance job satisfaction.
