Meagan Conroy

Meagan Conroy is currently an Infection Prevention and Control Clinical Nurse Consultant with Community Mental Health and Wellbeing (CMHW) in Tasmania. She enjoys the diversity of her role, which requires her to apply infection prevention and control (IPC) principles across various areas of healthcare, including mental health, dental services, and ambulance services.

Meagan began her career in the healthcare sector in 2006 as a personal care assistant in an aged care facility while pursuing a Bachelor of Nursing degree. After graduating as a registered nurse in 2009, she held various positions at a private hospital before joining CMHW in 2023.

Her interest in infection prevention and control was ignited while caring for a family member with leukemia, prompting her to complete the Australian College of Infection Prevention and Control’s Foundation of IPC course in 2019. Meagan has also pursued further postgraduate studies at Griffith University.
