Point prevalence studies identify that pneumonia is the most common healthcare associated infection. However, non-ventilator associated healthcare associated pneumonia (HAP) is both underreported and understudied. This talk will discuss the epidemiology of HAP and findings from a recent systematic review exploring strategies to reduce HAP.
