Catherine Miller

Catherine Miller is the Nurse Consultant (Nurse Practitioner Candidate) for the Fast Advice and Access with Intravenous (IV) Routes with Imaging (FAAIRI) Service: SA Medical Imaging (Women’s and Children’s Hospital Adelaide). This nurse-led service supports children and women with difficult IV access or longer-term IV requirements, through the provision of ultrasound-guided IV insertion and central venous access device selection and placement. With a strong background in education and research, she is passionate about utilising evidence-based teaching to improve patient safety and quality. Catherine is the winner of the South Australian Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards 2023, Excellence in Leadership – Emerging Leader Award.
