Jed Duff is Professor and Chair of Nursing at Royal Brisbane and Woman’s Hospital. He develops, tests, and implements strategies to improve the uptake of evidence into practice; designs and runs multidisciplinary practice-based research; and mentors staff in evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and research. Jed describes himself as a ‘pracademic’ – someone who helps solve real-world problems by combining the views of practitioners and academics. Jed is an emerging leader in implementation science. He completed a PhD in the field in 2013. From 2014-2016, he was an NHMRC Translating Research into Practice Fellow. In 2019, he was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to research evidence-based practice models in the US. Jed is a facilitator of the gold standard implementation science training program- the Training Institute for Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health (TIDIRH).
