Dr Lisa Hall is a Professor in Epidemiology at the School of Public Health, University of Queensland, and consultant epidemiologist for the Guidance Group at Melbourne Health. She is an epidemiologist, implementation scientist and health services researcher with significant policy experience at statewide and national levels. Lisa is internationally recognized for her research which focuses on the interface between evidence, policy and implementation to improve the surveillance and prevention of healthcare-associated infections and antimicrobial resistance. Since 2013, she has been named as a Chief Investigator on grants and consultancies worth over $15 million. Lisa was a technical expert on the Australian Commission of Safety and Quality in Healthcare (ACSQHC) Healthcare Associated Infection Advisory Committee between 2009 and 2024. She has been an Associate Editor of the American Journal of Infection Control since 2016.
