Megan Bellette (Megg) is a registered nurse with 13 years’ experience, beginning her career in Mental Health Services and has a passion for creating positive patient outcome.

She is currently a Nurse Unit Manager, heading up the Infection Prevention and Control Unit at the Royal Hobart Hospital, Tasmania.

This dedicated team focusses on prevention strategies for healthcare associated infections and delivers expert advice for the management of corporate and clinical infection risks across the Tasmanian Health Service/Hospitals South.

She is currently working on a Community of Practice (CoP), an online forum that allows all THS South hospital staff regardless of role to participate in all things around Infection Prevention and Control.

She has a graduate diploma and masters in mental health and psychiatric nursing and is completing her ACPIC course, with plans to complete a Masters of Infection Prevention and Control in the future. When not at work, Megg demonstrates her creative flair for scrapbooking and is a proud mum to Elliot who is a typical, adventurous three year old.
