Dr Samuel Mathias BMed MD MMed (Pain Mgmt) is a second-year Anaesthetic Registrar at St Vincent’s Public Hospital Sydney. He is currently involved in the Anaesthetics Department’s quality improvement projects to reduce rates of line-associated infections and improving patient experiences with vascular devices.
He has a long-standing interest in this area demonstrated by his previous experience as a JMO representative on the Antimicrobial Stewardship committee in multiple hospitals over three years. He has also been a SABSI working group JMO representative.
