Abstract:
Infection prevention in aged care remains an ongoing challenge world-wide. In this presentation I will unpack the context, recent advances and barriers to workforce, data and guidelines in Australia – important building blocks that influence successful implementation of infection prevention and control (IPC). I will then use case studies from overseas to explore how we might advance aged care IPC in a sustainable way.
